The Dwelling
This charming house is nested between live oaks and avocado trees. Tropical foliage arranged around the yard provides a serene environment suited for relaxation and meditation - both critically important for scholars whether graduate/professional students or faculty. With a similar layout as the other properties, this one is built with concrete blocks that have withstood several major hurricanes such as Hurricane Andrew that destroyed some surrounding neighborhoods. Although the vegetation was damaged, it did not make a dent on the dwelling, which certainly gives residents and their families peace of mind during hurricane season.
The Outdoors
The patio is stamped concrete that extends the length of the house. In the middle of the patio is a mature avocado tree that gives both shade and fruit during season. The yard is lushly landscaped with tropical foliage with ample room for bar-be-queing with friends. The house is surrounded by a six foot wooden fence providing privacy and security. Outside the fence is a gravel driveway with space for four vehicels.
The House
The house has two bedrooms and one bathroom. The master bedroom is ample and well-illumiated. The second bedroom can accommodate a queen bed or bunk beds. A double sunken living room is ideal for entertaining. The lower level of the living room is covered with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the patio. A washer and dryer are found in a convenient closet with plenty of room for all your laundry and cleaning supplies. The kitchen has all the modern conveniences including a range with a self-cleaning oven, a microwave oven, refrigerator/freezer, garbage disposal and dishwasher. In addition, a permanent water filtration system is installed under the sink. Central air conditioning supplies the house with a fresh environment free of dust and mildew. There is also a Florida room providing views of the back yard.
